Quick Answer#
The Restock Forecast page shows every property's restocking status in one place, color-coded by urgency based on upcoming scheduled visits, so an owner can see at a glance which properties need supplies bought soon.
Why This Matters#
Checking each property's inventory tab one at a time doesn't scale once an owner manages more than a couple of properties. Restock Forecast rolls every property's status up into a single view, so the properties that need attention stand out immediately instead of being buried in per-property detail.
How It Works#
Restock Forecast projects each property's inventory forward across an upcoming date range, based on scheduled turnovers pulled from that property's synced calendar. Each property gets one status badge:
- 🔴 Action Required — at least one item is projected to run out before the next turnover.
- 🟡 Buy Soon — an item is projected to run low, but not run out, within the forecast window.
- 🟢 Stocked — every tracked item is projected to stay above its minimum through the forecast window.
- ⚪ No Upcoming Visits — the property has no scheduled turnovers in the forecast window, so there's nothing to forecast yet.
All properties requiring immediate attention (Action Required) are consolidated into a dedicated Property Action Required box at the top of the page. This keeps urgent supply needs grouped cleanly together rather than scattered across calm properties.
Opening a property on this page expands its individual items, showing how many days of supply remain and when each one is projected to fall below its minimum, based on its usage type.
Step-by-Step#
- From your dashboard, open Restock Forecast.
- Review the forecast date range shown at the top of the page — it's based on your properties' upcoming scheduled visits.
- Check the Property Action Required box to instantly see properties needing emergency restock runs.
- Open any property to see which specific items are running low, and adjust quantities on hand as you restock them.
Frequently Asked Questions#
Why does a property show "No Upcoming Visits" even though it has an inventory set up? Restock Forecast projects usage against scheduled turnovers. If the property's calendar has no upcoming bookings synced, there's no usage to forecast yet — see Calendar Sync.
Does updating a quantity here also update it on the property's own Restocking Inventory tab? Yes — quantities on hand are shared across the property's dashboard and Restock Forecast; there's only one number being tracked per item.
Why did a property's status change without me doing anything? The forecast recalculates as scheduled turnovers change — a newly booked stay, a cancellation, or a completed turnover can all shift a property's projected status.
