Quick Answer#

Each property has its own set of rooms and checklist items that a cleaner works through during a turnover. Owners can edit these at any time to match the property's actual layout and needs.

Why This Matters#

A generic, one-size-fits-all checklist misses the details that actually matter for a specific property — a hot tub, a specific number of bedrooms, or a particular amenity guests expect. A template tailored to the property gives the cleaner clear, specific instructions instead of a vague list.

How It Works#

When a property is created, it starts with a set of default sections — typically things like surface-level issues, kitchen and bathroom — each with its own checklist items. From the property's Rooms & Checklists tab, an owner can:

  • Add or remove sections (rooms or areas).
  • Add, edit or remove checklist items within a section.
  • Reorder sections to match how a cleaner would naturally move through the property.
  • Link restocking inventory items to a room, so restocking that room's supplies is part of the same checklist step. See Restocking Inventory Tracking.

A section can also be scoped as whole property, meaning it's checked once per turnover rather than per room.

Changes apply the next time a cleaner opens a turnover — there's no need to recreate the property.

How Cleaners See This#

During a turnover's Quick Checklist step, the cleaner works through exactly the sections and items configured for that property, section by section, alongside a handful of fixed core items (like confirming beds are ready and supplies are stocked).

Frequently Asked Questions#

Can different properties have completely different checklists? Yes — each property's rooms and checklist items are independent of every other property's.

What happens to past reports if I edit the checklist later? Past, already-submitted Clean Reports keep the checklist items that were completed at the time; future turnovers use the updated checklist.
