Understanding Turnover Status: Upcoming, In Progress, Overdue & Blocked

Quick answer
Every property on your dashboard shows its next turnover's status — Upcoming, In Progress, Overdue, or Blocked — so you can tell at a glance which properties are on track and which need your attention first.

Quick Answer#

Every property on your dashboard shows its next turnover's status — Upcoming, In Progress, Overdue, or Blocked — so you can tell at a glance which properties are on track and which need your attention first.

The Four Statuses#

Upcoming — a turnover is scheduled but the cleaner hasn't started yet. This is the normal state for a cleaning that isn't due for a while.

In Progress — the cleaner has opened their link and is actively working through the checklist for that turnover.

Overdue — the property's next guest check-in time has arrived (or passed) and the turnover still isn't finished. Overdue properties are surfaced at the top of your dashboard with a follow-through card so you can act quickly.

Blocked — you've put this turnover on hold yourself, for example because you're cleaning the property personally for that stay. A blocked turnover won't be sent to your cleaner and won't be flagged as overdue while it's on hold. You can unblock it at any time from the turnover's report page to send it back to your cleaner.

The Turnover Follow-Through Card#

When a turnover is In Progress or Overdue, that property gets its own highlighted card at the top of your dashboard showing:

  • How long it's been since the guest's check-in time (for overdue turnovers).
  • The assigned cleaner's name, with a one-tap link to text them.
  • How far through the checklist the cleaner has gotten.

This is designed so the properties that need a phone call or a text are never buried below the properties that are simply on schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions#

Why does a turnover show as Overdue if the cleaner is almost done? Overdue reflects whether the guest's check-in time has arrived, not how much checklist progress has been made. A turnover can be nearly finished and still show Overdue if it ran past the check-in time.

How do I block a turnover? Open the turnover's report and select the option to keep it off your cleaner's radar. This is meant for cases where you don't need a cleaner to handle that particular stay.

Will blocking a turnover affect my turnover history? No. Blocking only controls whether the cleaner is notified. Unblocking sends it back to your normal turnover workflow.
