Photos submitted with a turnover are stored with the Clean Report and shown in the order they were uploaded. If a photo includes GPS data and the property's location is on file, Clean Report shows how far the photo was taken from the property. Clean Report does not currently analyze photo content itself.
What Clean Report Measures#
Photo location — many phone cameras embed GPS coordinates in a photo's metadata. If a photo has this information and the property's coordinates have been entered under Property Setup & Sharing, Clean Report calculates and displays the distance between where the photo was taken and the property.
Orientation — photos are automatically corrected for orientation so they display right-side up regardless of how the phone was held.
What Clean Report Does Not Do#
Clean Report does not currently analyze what's inside a photo — it doesn't detect cleanliness, identify objects, or flag a photo as suspicious based on its content. Distance-from-property is the only automated signal attached to a photo beyond what the cleaner and owner can see for themselves.
Why a Photo Might Have No Location Data#
- The property doesn't have coordinates saved yet.
- The phone's camera app had location services turned off when the photo was taken.
- The photo was taken and then transferred from a different device.
None of these necessarily indicate a problem with the cleaning itself — they simply mean that particular signal isn't available for that photo.
Frequently Asked Questions#
Can Clean Report tell if a photo is old or reused from a previous turnover? Not automatically. Reviewing whether photos look consistent with the current turnover is currently up to the property owner.
Does turning on location on my phone slow down the upload? No — it only affects what metadata is embedded in the photo, not upload speed.
